Greetings!
The IADVL Academy, under the aegis of the IADVL EC (2025), is pleased to announce the Postgraduate Thesis Research Grant - 2025. We will be awarding 25 grants of Rs 50,000 each to Dermatology Postgraduate students engaged in Thesis Research.
This grant is intended to provide financial support for essential research costs, including consumables, private laboratory investigations, and contingencies. Please note, however, that the grant does not cover expenses for instruments, patient allowances, or manpower. Additionally, isolated drug trials that present a conflict of interest will not be eligible for funding. The infrastructure required for the proposed research must already be available at the institution, and the planned investigations should be standardized.
Eligibility Criteria:
· The applicant must be a Provisional Life Member of IADVL.
· The thesis guide must be a Life Member of IADVL.
· Note: A guide who has already received the PG Thesis Grant will not be eligible to apply again for a period of two years.
Application Evaluation: Applications will be evaluated on the following criteria:
· Novelty of the research
· Methodological strength
· Feasibility of the study
· Relevance to the field of dermatology
Grant Disbursement:
· Awardees must obtain Ethics Committee approval and register their study with the Clinical Trials Registry within three months of grant selection.
· The grant will be disbursed in two instalments:
o 50% upon submission of the required documentation.
o The remaining 50% upon completion of the study and submission of final documents (within three months of completion).
Post-Thesis Requirements:
· Awardees must submit a paper based on their thesis for presentation at DERMACON and publication in an indexed journal within 18 months of thesis completion.
· The manuscript must acknowledge the IADVL Academy PG Thesis Grant in the paper published out of thesis work, and a copy of the acknowledgement of paper submission/ published paper must be shared with the Academy.

· The application portal will be functional online at Academy Central starting 15 April 2025, with the last date for submission being 31 April 2025.
