Announcement (Supplementary) inviting Application for IADVL Academy of Dermatology Chairperson and Convener (2026- 2027)

Dear IADVL members,

Greetings! 

Due to the paucity of suitable/ eligible Applications received for the post of ‘IADVL Academy Chairperson and Convener’ (2026- 2027), we invite IADVL Life Members again (3^rd call) and for the last time to apply for both these positions.

Life members having at least 15 years of experience after their postgraduate qualification are eligible to apply. The applicant must have experience of being a past Academy member and should not hold any concurrent position in central/state IADVL to optimize their contribution to the Academy.

Selected IADVL members will work as Chairperson/Convener designate along with the current Academy (2025) to learn day to day functioning and various roles / responsibilities.

While this is a prestigious assignment, reflecting seniority, experience, expertise and most importantly, commitment to the IADVL, it is also a responsibility for the planning and execution of the Association’s academic endeavors. 

The Chairperson duties will involve administrative as well as academic activities including

·       Working in close association with IADVL EC and planning all academic activities.

·       Coordinating with the academy members and managing observerships, training, research grants, SIG activities, publications, online learning resources, digital academy, scholarships, PG thesis awards and research grants etc.

·       Supervising the Special Interest Groups and Taskforces.

IADVL Academy Convener will also need to manage the academy accounts in close association with the IADVL treasurer in addition to assisting the Chairperson in all routine functioning of Academy.
