Answer: Cutaneous cytomegalovirus infection
Histopathological findings: The epidermis is ulcerated with interface dermatitis. The infiltrate in superficial and mid-dermis is composed of lympho-histiocytes and vessels appear dilated. The enlarged cells in the infiltrate and endothelial cells of blood vessels show large round pleomorphic nucleus with basophilic intranuclear inclusion bodies surrounded by clear halo. The inclusions are 25-30 microns in size.
