Dear
members of the IADVL,
An essay competition on 2 topics,
namely ‘Moisturizer and elderly skin- Lifelong friends’ and ‘Skincare in
elderly- an ignored domain’, was planned to mark the ‘International day of
older persons’ as a part of the IADVL Eczema and Hydration Project. We received
58 entries. Of the 58 essays submitted, 15 were for ‘Moisturizer and elderly
skin- Lifelong friends’ and 43 for ‘Skincare in elderly_an ignored domain’. The
essays were judged by Dr Paschal D’souza (New Delhi), Dr Jacob Thomas (Kochi), Brigadier
(Dr) Manas Chatterjee (Kolkata), Dr Suneil Gandhi (Surat), Dr Taru Garg (New
Delhi) and Dr Dhanashree Bhide (Pune). Any judge who had a conflict of interest
with any essay allotted to them recused themselves from evaluating those
particular essays. The winners of the essay writing competition are as follows.
