Dear All,
The IADVL Academy, under the aegis of the IADVL EC, has instituted 20 Postgraduate Thesis grants of Rs 50,000 each.
Applications using the attached form are invited for grant of financial assistance for PG thesis to cover costs incurred for consumables, private laboratory investigations and contingencies. Please note that no allowance shall be permitted for instruments, patient allowance or manpower requirement. Primarily isolated drug trials shall not be recommended. The infrastructure required for the proposed thesis study should be available at the institute and the planned investigations already standardized. Further, the postgraduate has to be a Provisional Life Member and the guide a Life Member of IADVL. The guide will not be eligible for 3 years after receiving the grant. Hence, the guide whose student received a postgraduate thesis grant in 2018 or 2019 will not be eligible to apply for a postgraduate thesis grant 2020.
Blinded applications will be evaluated by the jury (comprising of members of the IADVL SIG Dermatology Clinical Research), primarily on the basis of novelty and strong methodology.
The selected applicants will need to obtain Ethics Committee approval and register with the Clinical Trials Registry (for drug trials and interventional studies) within 3 months of selection. They will also have to submit a paper, based on the thesis, for presentation in DERMACON and for publication within one and a half years of completion of the thesis.
Please apply online at https://pggrants2020.
